本書作者吳敏而，為美國紐約市立大學認知心理學博士，專門研究兒童語言發展。她以推廣語文教育十多年及自己學習語文的經驗，結合所見、所聞、所學、所思，根據臺灣家庭和學校教育的實際情形，對語文學習的四大領域──聽、說、讀、寫──的正確學習方法，作了完整而深入的介紹。

作者簡介

吳敏而
       出生於香港，留學美國，為美國哥倫比亞大學心理學學士，紐約市立大學認知心理學博士。曾任美國教育部教育研究所研究員、臺灣省國民學校教師研習會研究員、香港教育學院中文系首席講師，現任國家教育研究院研究員。為開拓臺灣國語文新發展，研發國民小學國語實驗教材，推動閱讀，對兒童的認知學習與臺灣的語文教育有獨到的見解。
